£89.95 is abit high for a home router lol.

I doubt you need a server-specific router for a DX server? Just get decent speeds, hosted on a good computer.

I hope you understand that you don't need a router to host a Deus Ex server, unless you want to run the server on a separate computer.

Uh so router is not needed to Host DX Servers, i mean it wont show up at internet.. so i thought we need to buy a router and send ports.. to show up the server at internet not Lan..

Anyways my DSL model number is "SpeedTouch ST585 V6"

Does it contain anything to host game server that shows up at internet...

I Need to know is router needed and if yes then Why... :?

You don't need to buy a router, if you will play dx in it also. All you need is a superfast internet.

A router is a device which allows many computers to be connected to the internet at the same time. A router usually becomes an obstacle for people trying to host a server, because they have to open ports on it (7790 and 7791). Opening ports is very easy, but requires that you don't fear the words "router" and "ports".

If you don't see your server in the list of internet games, it may be because
— you already have a router, and you need to open ports on it;
— there is a firewall (Windows Firewall, Norton Internet Security, AVG Internet Security, Kaspersky, etc) on your computer, and you need to open ports in it;
— there's an issue with your internet provider, I'd call tech support and ask (in my case, I needed a "public" IP address to host a server and after I got it, my server appeared in the list).

Your SpeedTouch ST585 V6 is a wireless router; you already have a router. Click here to see detailed instructions how to open ports on it.

Skip the part where it says about 27900, 8777, you dont need them.

You need to open ports on your router first. If that fails, you may call your provider.

Here's a guide how to do that (copy into the URL field of your browser):
Code: Select all

Maybe installed wrong :).

Try removing the Weapon Modifier and see if it appears again.
