Adobe Photoshop CS3

Has anyone been able to get .ico (Icon Files) to open in Photoshop CS3? I can't seem to get them to open and it's really pissing me off too. Anyone lend a hand, please?

I can't open ico's in PS either. To make favicons (just in case you're doing a favicon) I use http://favicon.ru/en/

Not making favicons lol. And you don't need .ico's for them, just make the shortcut image file lead to a .png or .gif instead .ico lol. So much easier to deal with.

I'm actually trying to open icon sets to use for certain parts of a website design but can't open any of the damn sets, which is incredibly annoying because icon sets are extremely useful and I can't find many royalty free ones.

For the web-design there are free sets that are free even for the commercial usage (which is, for example, placing ads on your site). The icons in these sets are already in a .png format and ready to use.

But I know that my FastStone Image Viewer (excellent free image viewer) opens and converts ico's without problems.

Sweet, thanks for that. Some of those icon sets are pretty sweet too. As for the Image Viewer/Converter, trying that out now.
