HI AGAIN.

So anyway, I'm not sure if there's a topic about this previously or whatever but ye.

I wanna connect my Xbox 360 to my PC monitor, so I can play games through the monitor and hear sound from my headphones.
The problem is I can't find a guide on Google with a good description on how to do it :P

I have one of those VGA cables for my 360 that plugs into the back of the monitor but it's a pain in the ass to keep switching between them so I was hoping there was a device or something that I could use to switch between the 360 and my PC, and as for sound I have no idea what to do.

If anyone can help me then cheers maaaan.

I think you're looking for a KVM switch.

The second link (27 pounds) isn't a KVM switch: it's a device that allows you to use two monitors with one computer, that is quite opposite :P

Usually KVM switches differ by:
— presence & amount of USB ports
— type of video input/output, either VGA or DVI (where DVI is better because its digital)
— maximum resolution (if you own some 24" monitor make sure the KVM supports that resolution)
— presence of audio jacks: sound and mic (I suppose you want to switch the sound system as well?)
— presence of the additional cables in the package

Depends on what you need exactly. It looks like it doesn't switch the audio. Do you need this option? Do you need a USB switch (for external hard drives or usb sticks etc)?

I don't need the USB switch, no. As for the audio yeah I think so, I just want a box I can plug both my monitor and 360 cable into, as well as my speakers to hear what's coming from the 360 and that's it, if that makes sense.
