Connection problem

Postby ~SaSQuAtCH~ » Tue Apr 14, 09 10:39 am

I've been facing an annoying problem with my internet lately. I'm not using a router anymore, I access the internet directly. For some reason the whole network resets itself every hour. That results in a video buffering aborted, a download aborted or loss of connection in an online game. Any ideas what I could do? If there's a way to manually controll this reset-time please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Have you already tried calling your ISP support?

Are you on a LAN? Just that you mentioned a network. Check your ethernet cable isn't loose. I had an incident like this with my BT Voyager hub, the bastard overheated. It happened during a clan war against Dejavu when I was in [A] which was annoying :x

I'm sure my ethernet cable isn't loose because it wouldn't happen so regularly. The modem isn't even warm, it must be a software related problem.

This may sound a bit superfluous but have you tried disabling any firewall or internet security you might have?
