Can someone please give me ratings on these and how I may improve them (I am leaning towards the AMD because it's in my price range, as is the Intel but I also have to buy speakers, the OS and a new router after the desktops).

I am copying and pasting the exact hardware I am getting (not allowed to upload mhtml files lol) and their prices. All prices are in NZD.

Both systems have these:

A-Data 2GB DDR2 800 (6400) DIMM 3YR - 2 for $96.54

BenQ (T2200HD) 21.5” Wide (new 16:9) Glossy Black 5ms DVI-D & D-Sub (DVI-D cable not included) Full HD 1920x1080 DCR 10000:1, 3 Years Limited Warranty (Standard Pixel Warranty) - 1 for $268.00

Asus (EN9800GT HYBRIDPOWER/HTDI/512M) 512MB PCI-E Video Card 2x DVI-I HTV - 1 for $248.02 (I know there's much better cards out there now, I've been doing my research but I can't afford them).

Vantec (VAN-550N) 550W ION2 Plus,135mm Silent Fan, ATX V2.2, nVIDIA SLI Ready - 1 for $127.66

The following is what each seperate system has. Prices are not given for some things since I am getting them as a bundle with modifed shit (I modified the default bundles and replaced them with the above).

The hard-drive space is also not as big I was hoping to get but it doesn't matter to me much. I plan on getting an external HDD at some point.

As said before I am leaning towards the AMD system simply because it's a much cheaper price and I have to buy an OS and router with these as well (I'll be getting Windows XP, fuck Vista).

AMD System

1x AMD (HD9750XAGHBOX) Quad Core Processor AM2 Phenom x 4 9750 2.4GHz HT2000FSB 2MB x 2 Cache - 1 (I also know of much better cores, all fucking costly).

1x Raidmax (LUNA2WS-NP) (Sigma series) Luna2 Case, Silver, NO PSU - 1

1x Sony (AWG170AB2) DVD-RW Drive - IDE, OEM, 20x DVD±R, 8x DVD±R DL, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW - Black. - 1

1x Genius (C210) Black USB KB/Mouse KIT - 1

Total Amount: $1,829.19

Intel System

1x Intel (BX80569Q9550) Core 2 Quad Processor 2.830Ghz LGA775 12M Cache 1333FSB #Q9550 - 1 (again, I've looked at better but far too pricy).

1x Asus (P5QL Pro) Intel P43 Chipset LGA775 ATX 1600FSB ICH10 Pentium D &Core 2 Duo Core 2 Quad DDR2 1066 1xPCI E x16 GBLAN SATAII 8 Channel Sound

1x Western Digital (WD6400AAKS) 640GB Caviar SE SATA II 7200RPM 16MB Cache

1x Raidmax (LUNA2WS-NP) (Sigma series) Luna2 Case, Silver, NO PSU

1x Sony (AD7200S0B) INTERNAL 20X DVD BURNER SATA BLACK OEM

1x Genius (C210) Black USB KB/Mouse KIT

Total Amount: $2,074.97

Replace the nVidia 9800GT with ATI Radeon HD 4850 1GB version (better performance and costs much less). If you are planning on getting a screen that uses a high resolution like 1680x1050, 512MB is worthless amount of video memory.

Also consider getting a dualcore processor instead of quadcore.

ATI Radeon HD 4850 is no cheaper in New Zealand. Costs $100 more actually, and that's for the 512MB version, can't find a 1GB version either.

You don't have to buy it in New Zealand. Order from the internet, the shipping fee can't be too much when you're buying a hardcore PC thus paying loads of cash anyway.

The shipping is a couple of hundred dollars normally for NZ transactions. Normally it'd cost me a few hundred to get it shipped around NZ, luckily it's free.

Overseas a small CD-R costs $30 shipping. That's $30 US, btw. For a guitar it was going to cost my cousin $900, again, that's US.

Corshair 1Gb RAM stick
playing cards (Fan)
Popsicle sticks
Dot Matrix Printer

$12
Psychokiller, spelled incorrectly.

I know it's ridiculous but I don't control the costs of shipping.
