Same ol' XP problem.
I have one conclusion..
If the patch is an .exe, and then you accidently turned off your windows or something else, or it couldn't run for some reasons.. it got corrupted.
The only reason I can tell you is to...
simply delete it..
I know that it'll say "Access denied"
You'll have to terminate "Explorer.exe" from your processes, and then start a new task, type "CMD" and head towards the folder where the MTLColorPatch is, by a command called "CD"
For example:
"cd C:\DeusEx\System\"
Then just press DIR, or if you know the exe's name.. type
- Code: Select all
del "EXECUTEABLE NAME"
(quotations recommended if the file has spaces in it's name)
And then simply start "Explorer.exe" task again.
After it is deleted, re-download the color patch, and simply run it.
That SHOULD fix.
