Won't install

I try to install dx but when it gets to the end where its like extracting or whatever system files it just quits responding and the cpu usage is at 0.

Could you please make a screenshot? (Press Print Screen button on your keyboard > paste from clipboard to MS Paint > Save as some .jpg > upload .jpg to forum)

My Computer for some reason can't take screen shots. Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3, Intel Pentium 4.

Actually, I remember when I patched DX to 1112fm, the installer would just become nonresponsive at end. The game was fully installed though.
Just kill the process through taskmanager and try to load up DX, it might just work as it did for me.

Can't you manually install DX by right clicking 'explore' on the disk and dragging all the files over to your PC?
Might not work on your edition but it worked on mine.
You could also install the version Sike recommended and then patch it up with the files from your disk.
Or you can install it to an external memory unit on a different PC, swap the unit to the PC you want DX on, copy and paste the files from the unit to your hard drive.

Thats what I did at the end but it still isnt completely installed.

Found problem, process of texture files.exe and all those exe wouldnt terminate so i had to do it manualy

I have the SoldOut GOTY installer and it always does that to me. :\
I have to _sometimes_ extract the files manually.
