Set it to 100.
If you notice that it exceeds your server's performance, then lower it in steps of 10.

Okay. You may be the wrong guy to pitch this next question to but....

Err... MiniMTL: new one coming out soon, supposedly going to affect lag and server performance issues considerably. D'ya happen to know if this will affect settings in ini files for optimum performance?

Currently hosting Shadow 'n' Chinny's Cozmopolis, wondered what settings would be good for a map of that scale and complexity.

I know fuck all (literally) about the network code of DX or any other game for that matter.

EDIT: Shit keeps appearing right in front of me in Cozmopolis. Quite laggy. Although ping is good and stable, very little movement lag, just annoying stuff and people appearing in front of me. Any way to tweak this?

Only real limit is my upload rate. 1.3Mbps. Core i7 950 OC'ed to 4Ghz, 6Gb RAM, Solid state drive etc... should be more than enough for a beefy 10 slot server

Did you got this stuff and permissions from the original author(s)?

Did zXc told you about all this tick stuff etc? or you got it off by Chinny or so.

Chin's already paying for the server, I think it would be better if it's only on a single server. Why split players up on two servers, why not have them on a single server? More fun..... atleast for a month? (not being selfish etc)
