Deus Ex Alpha

Ok here is the deal.
I opened up Deus Ex and loaded my save.
For some reason it didnt open, the error said that it could not find 03_NYC_UNATCOHQ.dxs ( this is because i saved in that level)
I checked the "Current" folder in the save folder and it had 03_NYC_UNATCOIsland.dxs
Eventualy i worked my way through it( saving it again)
But now all my skills are gone( like i started the game again, with only pistol trained)
So to fix this without doing "allskills", i figured editing the SaveInfo.dxs would help.
I just have no idea how to open it( notepad doesnt work)
Any ideas?

Did you try renaming the dxs file?

the map related dxs file? yes i did.
when it had the error popping up i renamed it, but it still said it was missing, after i checked the file somehow renamed it self back!
