Get your IP and type open yourip:7790
if you will connect you own server, it is problem with server list. If you don't connect, its problem somewhere with you. Report results here and i'll try to answer.

I take it that since I've yet to see your name in any "Admin is" info section of the servers that you have yet to get your server running correctly. So I thought I give it a try..

Mr.X, Have you try to connect to your hosted server through manual connect method? ( Erase 'Say' part after pressing 'Talk' and typing in "open <youripaddresshere>"), if so did it successfully connect?

If you haven't, get that done so we can elliminate the possibilities of the culprit.

MoshMan and LTKJAY, I think you both should try this too. See what happen then we can figure out the other possibilities.

Under the setup that you just described in the above post, were you able to then join the server through the "LAN Server List" browser? If you haven't tried, do so now.

As to get this thing moving. I'm gonna need to get some information. What connection are you currently using to access the Internet?

Alright I need you to examine your Cable modem, a black coaxial cable most likely is coming through the wall or even split from the one coming to your TV to connect into this box..

Yea, the box/mod most likely is connected to another box, its a router/switch (Maybe even saids so on it); A lot of "big telephone holes" in the back of this, several are used to connect to the computers in your LAN currently. Can you confirm that you're seeing what I'm describing?

While you're at it, can you tell me the router/switch (The box thats connecting to the modem, which in turn connect to all the computer in your LAN) brand and model number (It should state so right in the front) ?

Okay, thats the box I'm talking about :). What you need to do is configurate this box to allow traffic through certain ports (namely the one that Deus Ex for networking gameplay as well as the one for talking to Gamespy's MSL, vital for your server to show up on everyone's server list 8) ).

So, if you're at all familiar with the hub of yours already (Meaning you already tinker around and understand the basic of the configuration inside of it) check out MY POST HERE.

Disregard the above link if you aren't familiar at all or uncomfortable sticking your nose in the wind, just let me know. However you're going to need to find out the way to access the configuration of the hub. Manuals that came with the hardware would help, so check that and find out the necessary information.

What a greedy man you are, all the chaps and gals around here will still have to cheer you on throughout this ordeal? :P

Windows work in odd ways. As long as it works for now, I'll be crazy to try to figure it all out

I'm trying to help you get your server going to, Mr.X. I can tell you right now that more then likely that the hub that is use so you can share your connection with the other computer in your LAN is also the one blocking the info from getting to the necessary place so your server can "work properly".

By accessing the hub's configuration, we can then change the setting on where which specific information (the information that's 'Deus Ex') and have it route to the correct place, everything will then flow.

So as you just said above, I understand that you might have lost the manual.. will you atleast share information about the hub that you're using? (Maker, brand.. how long ago had you own it?) ; This will help me (or rather anyone reading) get an idea of how you should go about changing the setting.

Yes i can share my connection but i dont because i need a special card for the hub and i only have one. I dont know where to change the settings because i have irritating sisters that dont let me do anything.Well i see now a switch that can change Uplink Normal and Normal to Uplink with a switch
It is MicroHub/6 TP1006C from Compex

Yea, a Network Interface Card are relatively inexpensive nowaday, you should be able to pick one up at around 20 USD. I was wrong before when I urge you to find a way to access the configuration on a hub (Fact there isn't a way, its "hardware divider" that divide all the traffic to the connecting PC on all ports, thus from my research an hour before.. leave no way for you to route a specific range of ports to the your server).

In theory, ICS through a designated Gateway might do the trick .. but it will require you to reconfigurate your network.. plus there's a whole bunch of port forwarding setting that I simply never touch before. Next cost-effective method would be for you to buy a router (You can even return that 6 ports Hub of yours currently) and use that as your main "network agent".

Routers are a bit more expensive then hub but offered hardware based firewall (So really its another tough line of defense for broadband users on the Web, beside a regular firewall that you might be running), ability to share Internet (Just as easy as that Hub of yours), the all important ability to specific port range forwarding (Vital to get your designated DXMP server to be available for Internet players, as well as secure that port when you aren't serving/ Or other applications), etc... So it can replace the current "Hub" with no problem, even offer you a few more useful features that I listed above.

Last I check, a good if not excelent 4 ports router from Linksys sells around 60 USD. I'm sorry I can't help you anymore with the configuration of your network, as far as I know your hub simply isn't made for the server routing and so forth; Router is more up-to-date alternative that should serve up for atleast a decade.

Leave the switch setting alone by the way, You don't want to touch unless you're going to expand yourt network with other hub, switches, routers ..
