No problem really, I like to share stuff I know especially regarding these issues, as I know how annoying it can be to have a DX with really poor performance.

Im happy that on most basic laptop chipsets from 2007 - 2008, its possible to play DeusEx at 1024 - 768 with 50 - 60FPS. I tested this on a crappy ACER laptop from 2006 running the Integrated X200 ATI graphics.

Make sure for multi-core users, to change processor affinity to limit one core to be used in DeusEx. Its not a multicore game and forcing programs to run on two cores written for one produces a lot of garbage and slows the game down considerably.
