Steam Workshop

Postby Aidan » Thu Feb 09, 12 6:39 am

Stumbled into it tonight. Very cool idea. Spares me from having to route through mod managers, just to get some specific mods I'd like for a game.

I LOVE the idea that you can subscribe to them.

For example. I subscribed to the "Enhanced Blood" mod. So every time I go to play skyrim, Steam will search for any new versions of that mod, download, install them, and afterwards, launch the game.

With this in play now, I feel as though devs will be encouraged, or more open minded when modification is the subject of matter in their new games.

What do you all think of Steam Workshop?

What I think of Steam Workshop?, good but egotism will get in the way of some modders for low quality items with a price tag. I'm 100% ready to pirate modifications.

It also reminds me that Blizzard Marketplace is being released with Heart of the Swarm (originally planned for Wings of Liberty).
I am dead.
