Just like in WoW, there are two types of L2 servers: official and 3rd-party. The latter ones are free (and somewhat illegal) and allow you to level up many times faster at the cost of a smaller community. On the official server it takes years to reach high levels, while on 3rd party ones you can make a "carrier" within 1-3 months.
Me & Alex invite you to try L2 on a free 3rd-party server. 3 steps to join:
- Download the full game (mirror) and unzip it to a folder of your liking (C:/Program Files is the best place I guess). If your download interupts or you experience any other problems, please try FlashGet.
- While downloading, make an account (English available, click on Union Jack to the right)
- Launch Utopia.exe and create your first character.
When you're done with your char, post its name here (mind you: name of your character, not username/login) and we'll contact you in game. Besides help and guiding, you'll get a starting bonus of 250'000a from us and receive bigger bonuses if you decide to proceed. You will also get an additional big bonus if you bring a friend (or come together with some other forumer).
