I cannot hack Hejhuka's brilliant mod.

Yes, I'm typing about Hejhuka's hardcore mod. It is an amazing multiplayer mod, that provides the best bot ai, I've seen, great dual akimbo weapons, fast multiplayer action, and new gametypes, and I can't get it to work,

WHy? because he had to make it called DeusEx.u. So, anyone who tries to connect to server, will have a DeusEx.u version mismatch. So I tried to change all the package names to different ones and what not, but its' beyond my scope.

Poor, Nobody! This mod needs to be on servers, its awesome, please fix it.

The modification is embedded in DeusEx.u?

I thought of Hex editing and replacing all DeusEx to a suitable name.. but then I said 'meh.'

HOPE YOU WORK IT OUT NOBODY. ALSO HAVE TO DO WITH OTHER FILES I THINK AS WELL

So yeah.. I presumably ran against a tricky problem.
When renaming the mod and its internal dependency tree, I noticed the native binding of DeusEx.u to its DLL file..

I'll have to make a list of all native classes, followed by checking their code for differences to the original, trusting that there are no differences.. :-k
..A recompile might not be avoidable in the end..

The mod is normally just modified DeusEx.u, meaning if you host it player will get a version mismatch when they try to join unless they have the mod installed aswell, which would overwrite their original DeusEx.u and prevent them from joining any other server not using the mod, because they would get a version mismatch again. So they're trying to rename it so it can be hosted, without getting a version mismatch? Or something along those lines anyway

You can't run DX/DXMP if you take out DeusEx.u file out of System.

My UED loads DeusEx.u and DeusExHardcore.u too
I read about dlls, and it said the dll's name must mtach exactly to the package name, or it won't find it

I'm fine with that but the package name itself needs to have the same length as DeusEx, otherwise changing the internal dependencies of the other packages will be tricky.
That's why I chose DXHCMP... or if the Arena is mandatory in your eyes.. HCARMP or DXHCAR or DXARHC :?

Wait... I got the stuff loaded up in Unrealed... now Is there anyway to change the multiplayer settings to where when you go on the server, everything ( UI, etc.) will be ran off of that Deusex.u file?

DJ, Arena... X? Wow, Arena Xtreme / Ten / Ex is such an un-fitful name.

The name of the mod itself should be a nod to the originals but different so you can tell the 3 apart. Remember to keep it simple DXHCARXTRM10 proposers.

This is the problem:
GameEngine=DeusExHardcore.DeusExGameEngine
Critical: (Core.Class None.DeusExHardcore.DeusExGameEngine NULL)
DeusExHardcore hasn't got DeusExGameEngine, but if I set the GameEngine to DeusEx.DeusExGameEngine, I get this error: Autoregistered Class DeusEx.ParticleIterator already exists
It will be hard to make it work IMO, but maybe Nobody can make it :) (he can do everything)[/code]

..Kalman, DXHC doesn't fit DeusEx's characters. So there's no point to discuss that D:
