Description

Allows you to see and join twice or thrice more servers in Deus Ex by combining lists from different masterservers (by default, only GameSpy as other masterservers are offline). The screenshot (clickable) shows a server list with new features (Favourites).

Download MMUserInterface (108 KB) — the latest version 180 (02.11.2007).

Installation

Extract all the files from the archive to your desired location.
Run the executable file.
Select the destination folder, with this the System folder in your DeusEx folder is meant. It is usually C:\DeusEx\System.
Press the Install button.
Done! You installed the mod successfully.

Installation process

The following things will happen when running the executable:

It will place the latest MMUserInterface file & DXMTL152b1 in the specified folder.
It will change and add a few things in your Deus Ex.ini

We advise you to make a backup of your DeusEx.ini and already existing files (Such as DXMTL152b1) in case the installation process goes wrong.

Use

You can either choose to view one MasterServer at a time, or multiple. This can be changed by setting bCombineMasterServers to True or False. When set to True, it will use multiple MasterServers, and it will be a bit slower, since it will have to load more than 1 MasterServer. If you set it to False, you will see a textbox and two arrows. Use the arrows to change between masterservers. You may also type a masterserver address manually in the newly added field—after that you need to press "refresh" button.

Known bugs

Sometimes it hangs. Then you can't enter anything or press the buttons. Just point to the "password" field and it will fix itself.
