“No valid server to connect” / Deus Ex doesn't show servers

Try this: find DeusEx/System directory, then DeusEx.ini:

Open it. Enable search window (either Ctrl + F or Edit -> Find) and find GameSpeed. Set it to 1.000000.

This problem may appear because of changed GameSpeed, but usually it appears when the masterserver (the server which sends you the information on available game servers) is offline. Unfortunately all you can do is wait in this case.
