Very well.
I find it stupid for someone to look at that kind of situation as sickening and pointless.
Girls bodies don't stop growing untill the age of (around) 16'ish. Untill their body completes it's changes from girl to woman, they are not phisically, and perhaps more importantly, mentally ready to have kids, let alone start a relationship to raise said kid.
Life lessons and warriors are born and for the parents who make it at that age I send congrats to for the mother even living through it the pressure from the parents and the father if he agrees to tend to his child. ALOT of people were accidents, we have 12/14 year old accidents nowdays and they're normally frowned upon and determined vulgar. but like in most bad situation theres a lesson to be learned and wisdom to be gained.
This, I find, is seriously screwed sense of logic.
Ignoring the fact that in any civil country, having sex with a minor consitutes
statutory rape, let's look at what you're saying.
Firstly.
Life lessons and warriors are born and for the parents who make it at that age I send congrats to for the mother even living through it the pressure from the parents and the father if he agrees to tend to his child.
Ignoring the fact the first blurb makes no grammatical sense, I find two flaws in this thinking.
1) That having a child at that age will make you a stronger person. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but if it actually
was an accident, chances are while the mother might (and I say might because the adoption rate for under-age mothers is high) love their child, in most cases, she would not do it again.
There is also statistical proof to say that children born to under-age mothers/fathers have a drastically increased chance at becoming young mothers/fathers them self.
2) In 90% of cases, the father does not stick around, and the mother is left to face the whole thing by her self. However, you have, I will assume unknowningly, used words that imply the father has a right to choose if he shall tend to his child. When 'accidents' happen, and the mother wants the father around, he doesn't have a choice at all, and should be held accountable to the full force of the law. If you don't want the responcibility, keep it zipped.
Moving on.
ALOT of people were accidents, we have 12/14 year old accidents nowdays and they're normally frowned upon and determined vulgar. but like in most bad situation theres a lesson to be learned and wisdom to be gained.
Quite right in one aspect, only 13% of teen pergancies are actually planned. But it's wrong from there on in.
Flaws;
1) Simply because there kids having kids, does not making the situation correct.
2) I'm going to assume you've had 'experience' in this, but inorder to have a baby, you need to make two consious decisions; The first being to have sex in the first place. Secondly, the use of protection if you are having sex. Only when the protection you use fails can you call it an 'accident'. No protection = baby waiting to happen.
3) Sitting back and 'learning a life lesson' most people can do without will not solve the problem of kids having kids now will it? It IS a problem, you only need to see the effect is has on young peoples lives to see this.
4) It is frowned apon because, in these cases, the kids are still that - kids.
Each year, nearly one million teens in the US, approximately 10% of all 15-19 year old females -- become pregnant. About 1/3 of these teens abort their pregnancies, 14% miscarry, and 52% (or more than half a million teens) bear children, 72% of them out of wedlock. Of the half a million teens giving birth, roughly 3/4 are giving birth for the first time.
Consequences for the children of adolescent mothers
Children of adolescent mothers are more likely than children of later childbearers to have health and cognitive disadvantages and to be neglected or abused.
A. Low Birthweight Babies - The children of adolescents are more likely to be born prematurely and 50% more likely to be low-birthweight babies -- of less than 5.5 lbs. Low birthweight raises the probabilities of a variety of adverse conditions such as infant death, blindness, deafness, chronic respiratory problems, mental retardation, mental illness, and cerebral palsy. It also doubles the chance a child will later be diagnosed as having dyslexia, hyperactivity, or another disability.
B. Childhood Health Problems - The children of adolescent moms tend to suffer poorer health than do the children of women who were age 20 or 21 when their first child was born.
C. Children of adolescent moms are 2-3 times more likely than the children of their older childbearing counterparts to report having run away from home between the ages of 12 to 16.
D. Children of adolescent moms are also far more likely to be physically abused, abandoned, and neglected.
Consequences for adolescent mothers
* 7 out of 10 will drop out of high school
* During the first 13 years of parenthood, adolescent moms earn an average of about $5,600.00 annually, less than half the poverty level.
* Adolesent moms spend nearly five times more of their young adult years as single parents than do women who have their first child at age 20 or 21.
Consequences for the fathers
* Boys are 1/3 as likely as girls to become adolescent parents.
* Each year fewer than 60,000 boys age 17 and younger father children for the first time.
* The fathers of children born to adolescent mothers are, on average, 2.5 years older than the mom; in 1/5 of the cases, the fathers are at least six years older. Recent research also suggests that the incidence of pregnancy among adolescent girls often is the result of sexually predatory behavior of older men.
Adolescent Dads
* Finish an average of only 11.3 years of school by the age of 27, compared with nearly 13 years by their counterparts who delay fathering until age 21.
* By age 27, adolescent fathers earn, on average, $4,732 less annually than the comparison group of men who delay fathering until age 20 or 21.
Dads of children born to adolescent moms
* On average, earn about $3,000 less per year than the partners of delayed childbearers.
* Fathers who do not marry the adolescent mothers of their children have incomes sufficient to contribute support but only about 15% of adolescent moms are ever awarded child support.
Yeah mate, GREAT life lessons to be learned...
