Also, I didn't say half of the world will die from a chip. I said that inside sources indicate that growth hormones will be administered to livestock from Dec 31st 2009 as a law by the FDA. This leads to malnourishment of the meat and therefore - hypothetical hardship.

How the hell does growth hormones, i.e. making the livestock grow faster, cause malnourishment?!

When using it as a substitute for regular feed it will malnourish the meat. The more growth taking place, the more energy is required. If it accomodated for that then it renders more meat and mineral deficit.

Long story short - for growth, animals need to accomodate for the metabolism and if it is not supplied then you get the same meat with less nutrients.
