1. not alike in character or quality; differing; dissimilar: The two are different.
2. not identical; separate or distinct: three different answers.
3. various; several: Different people told me the same story.

I don't like the 4th one, it implies that people who are different to me (or anyone else) are strange or abnormal. Which isn't true, they're just not similar or the same to me - they're DIFFERENT. Doesn't make them "nor ordinary; strange".
