I've seen so many "make 3d abstract art" tutorials that just tell you to throw together some preset shapes and add some filters and meshsmooth or whatever.

Oh wait, you mean like photoshop abstractions? Not like cinema 4d or 3ds? Then, I'm with you.

Edit: Oh wait, you mean noise filters for 3DS Max. I use Cinema 4D, so it's actually more unique with making abstractions, ie; it uses deformers, like bend and twist, and they both have seperate shapes. Plus, there are MANY ways to create an abstract.
