Does anyone else besides me plan on getting every "Next Generation" system? cause since were on the topic of recent console's,id like to ask if anyone else has a PS3 and or a Wii on their list of things to buy? ive got Wii with Legend of Zelda : Twilight Princess,Metal Slug Anthology,and Red Steel waiting for me 2 days after i pick up my PS3 with Kill-Zone 2,Metal Gear Solid 4,Devil May Cry 4,Mobile Suit Gundam,and Final Fantasy,anyone else got the new systems waiting for them?

Well atm you can get an XBox360 Premium for £299.99 including PGR, PE7 and two wireless controllers and XBL and a headset.. Plus the release price for games has dropped to £44.99 and you can trade in old 360 games to get £30 off a new one.

Also, as a Game shop assistant, does your intuition tell you that when the PS3 gets released, Microsoft will drop the price of the 360?

I want a console but don't know whether to:

A) wait for the ps3
B) wait till the ps3 is released hoping 360 price is reduced
C) fuck it and go out and get a 360 now
D) go to mexico next year instead (cant afford to buy a hol AND a console)

360 isn't dropping in price any time soon because they don't need to, their premium console is nearly half the price of the PS3 premium.
PS3 gets released the end of March '07 in UK/Aus.
Get a 360 now, but from Game. If you get any problems with your console you can take it back and get an instant swap GoW out here in 2 days, Forza2 early '07.

Yeah thats from Game. I don't think the 360 will drop next Easter simply because its great value for money for what you're getting anyway. Xbox wins this round against the PS3. Word-of-mouth is that there aren't gonna be more than 10 or 11 PS3s per shop anyway on the launch. I can sell that many 360s in a day.

And as Mr Dale mentions, if your 360 is havin problems you can just bring it in and we test it and if its faulty we'll swap it there and then (you keep your hard drive of course)

Halo3 doesn't have a release date, but it sure as fuck isn't January lol More than likely mid/end '07.

Lazer, there was a deal I saw in Game where you can get a premium 360 and PES6 or Fifa 07 for £290.

My 360 got 3 red lights and the people at Game didn't even test it out, or check if I'd void the seal lol Just ripped out a new 360 and sent me packing within a minute I was erect. I spent over an hour on the phone to Microshit about sending it back, but ended up not doing it that way.

Gears of War looks sweet. But there are two crazyass games i'm after though (on the ps3 & psp).

-Coded Arms: Assault (got the first one for my psp and loved it )
-Devil May Cry 4
EDIT: -And how the hell could I forget Killzone2 (liberation's sucks because it's an overhead shooter, ewwww)

Devil May Cry 4 is just Plain crazy though (especially the new function of you being able to take advantage of the weapons stabbed into you )

I don't know why everyone thinks the wii is so special, It's just going to be like sony's "eye-toy", All those fat kids are going to be active with two controllers (with wires, so I hope you all have insurance when you trip on them), then everyone will be bored of being active and stick with the standard controller. Gamecube all over again .

I'm swaying towards going for the PS3 when it comes out cos i think no matter how good the 360 is, the ps3 will out-sell it easily and therefore more success = more games.

Can someone make a list of the advantages and disadvantages of both?

Go for the console with the games that appeal to you. Which is why I'm not buying a Wii or PS3, the games are utter shit. That GT:HD is GT4 from the PS2 just in high definition, there are 2 versions of the game you can buy which are buy the disc with just the main menu on it and one where youcan buy the disc with every car and track. With the first version, you have to buy each car and track (ranging from 50p-80p per car(500 in total I think it is), £2-3 per track(30 I think)) and the fully equipped game disc hasn't been set a price (lmao it's Sony so expect it to be a shitload if they aren't saying anything).
You like football games and Fifa07 and PES6 are 360 exclusives for a year (next gen only).
Sony are big headed Asian fuckfaces, "the next generation doesn't start until we say", what the fuck you smoking? Just because the cell has 7 processors doesn't mean you're going to do shit. 2 processors is more than enough to run a fully optimized game, 7 is just giving the devs a harder time. Don't believe all these "ingame" screenshots they were dishing out pre-release either, Sony lie, alot. Like the "free online" service they are providing, it's not. It's exactly like the Xbox Live system.

Well, I wish I still had my SNES but I sent it to my cousin's in another country once I bought the N64.
