So currently I'm excited about the iPhone (I want to see reviews) and on Friday it will be released in the US, but now I've seen this scam:

You are currently staring at a lame excuse for a mobile phone rate. Not only that but without "activating" the iPhone you cannot get unlimited data or visual voicemail! They have just paid $599 for the iPhone and now they need $60 a month for a standard rate?! If that hasn't annoyed you enough then get ready, they expect you to pay $36 just to start it up AND if you cancel the contract you must pay $175 to get out of it!

What a rip-off! I wanted a high-tech phone, not a debt-machine!

Discuss your feelings on this sudden burst in fees.

I would also like to add to Carnage's post: there were lots of people who commited suicide because of WoW, there's a kid who hung himself because his parents were too busy playing WoW to pay attention to him.

Yeah, there was this one guy, who had a family right, two kids and a wife. He got WoW and couldn't stop playing. It got as bad as him missing work, so he was fired. He didn't pay attention to his kids or his wife, and he started to notice. His wife filed for divorce, but that's when she noticed he drank a bottle of antifreeze and killed himself.

I don't see the point, tbh. I got a contract for a Sony Ericsson k610i and it has virtually unlimited calls, texts, internet browsing, camera/video, multimedia player, MSN, has just under 100mb of memory with the memory card I got with it and runs better then my computer. LOL :lol:

For £180 in total.

And I tried getting addicted to WoW, but I got bored really quick.
