Right. I'm really pissed off right now; a friend of mine just used the term Autistic to insult someone. I had to force them to apologize. I've noticed it a few times recently. What the fuck? That's a serious disability, what kind of inconsiderate cunt started using that offensively? Maybe I'm just noticing more because my little brother is autistic, but still, they can't stand up for themselves. It's fucking unfair, the term retard I learned to cope with, hearing it so much from everyone, but I don't want Autistic to be used like that.

Just unbelievable. I'd like to see them suffer with Autism. It would by funny then.

Sometimes it does hurt, but in general it doesn't hurt me either.
I usually just think "Hah, is he really that much of a child to swear?".
A small thing though: In the Netherlands 'cancer' is a bad word, as in, used a lot for swearing. I though, CANNOT use it. I simply can't.

I understand where you're coming from, but at the same time I don't really think it's that big of an issue. I see people here all the time use "retard" and "idiot" and "gay", I've even seen "nigger" a time or two, yet nobody ever says anything. What's the difference? Honest question. If there was a topic about anything else you stated, I would be saying the same thing I am saying now. I use swearing outside sometimes yes, but some people use it far to often, and mean it, not using it as a joke etc.

I think there is quite a large difference between using the word gay as an insult and "IDIOT, YOU ARE AUTISTIC!" etc. As being gay is a lifestyle some people choose, autism is a disability. People joke about gay people, although I feel that is wrong as-well, I don't feel it is as serious as using a life altering disability that that the sufferer has no choice but to live with as an insult, sorry.

Using a disability as an insult is the worse thing anyone can really do out of all the swearing and abusive words etc...
