stfu topic nazi, all my general discussion topics have been moved to rant at one point or another so if the borders are so vague to begin with then this may as well be a rant.

And how correct you are my son ^_^

Download Spybot Search and Destroy, this should fix the majority of your problems. Any other problems are just exploited html loopholes in Firefox.

Pop ups are giving me good idea's.. I feel like making a program that bounces pop ups back to the host server or.... Deja?

Eh, Adware is fucken annoying. I don't get it much but I have done in the past, loads of IE windows just randomly opened. Happened with [A] a lot.

Hai.

You will always receive pop ups with Firefox, because no popupkiller can beat all pop ups.

If I were you, I'd download AdBlock: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10

If you get a pop up on a site, or you see advertisements, just press "Adblock" in your Browser, and block the element ;)

Here's a quick 'tutorial' how:

I used nytimes.com as an example.

As you can see, there is an image here, that must be an advertisement. It has nothing to do with the news paper. It was the only decent example of advertisement I could find, as I blocked a lot of advertisements already.
Image

I opened the AdBlock window here. I just clicked on a few URL's in the window, and every time you click an URL, the matching object 'flashes', so you can see which one it is. As you can see, I clicked on the right one.
The names that are red in the list, are blocked already.
Image

Then I need to write a block line for it, I don't only want to block that image, but basically all images inside that folder. So I add a wildcard (*), a wildcard basically says "any value here is allowed".
Image

I press Ok, and voila! Gone it is (It might require a refresh to make it work for 100%)

In case of pop ups, you usually need to look for JavaScript.
In the AdBlock window, this is defined as a 'script', and an image is 'image', flash is 'object'. You don't need to block all script's, but you can usually find out which script is the advertisement script. Look at the name and domain, and you'll find out.

DJ, I don't think he made Spybot... And Alex, Adblock owns lol. Used to use it but forgot about it when I got Vista.

LOL, but I think he's reffering to what I had said before about bumping all your pop up requests to Deja through his ip using C++
