You can't "fix" a mindset.

So due to my exotropia and my growing fear of it turning into Double Vision (It's gotten progressively worse as I grow older) I decided around November to have it corrected.

So, April 25th is the set date, when I don my robe and they fuck with my eyes.

I'm not really bothered about Hospitals or Doctors, never have been.
However, should I be slightly more cautious? There isn't very much chance of them fucking up and if they do I still have an eye left I suppose.

I suppose what I'm more worried about is how people will percieve me afterward. When it first became prominent (Around year 7) I made it a bit of a game with friends to see who could get which girl easiest etc, and I always found it to be an ego boost when I could make people see "through my eye" if you like. I've had quite a few relationships, popular around school without managing to disrupt my education etc.

I guess what I'm saying is, if my squint is fully corrected, will this make me more or less of a cunt? I've seen guys change just because they got a new hairstyle, so will this "correct" me as well as my eyes?

It ain't how I see. God how I wish I had 20/20 vision. I hate wearing glasses but I look weird without them. After wearing them for a good 13 years you get used to them.

But yeah, being able to see properly helps lol. Gratz man on a surgery well done then, eh?

Had a look at my eye and scared myself shitless, it's entirely red.

That's probably just a side effect of the surgery and should pass in time. But, if it doesn't, I'd suggest seeing your doctor about it, naturally.

Yeah, mum told me surgeon said it will go away with time. Since he cut a muscle my eye will weep for the rest of today and the harsh redness will be gone within a week.

Yeah, small side effects compared to what the surgery has accomplished though. That's what I think anyway. A few hours of weeping and a couple of days of red eye (now scare as many small children and animals as you can! xD) is definitely worth it lol.
