I thought that trend would've died out by now.

Everyone and their mother who's "hip" and "in" keeps trying to rickroll everyone else.

It's ridiculous.

Lots of people found out about it when youtube did it on April 1st, and think it is a "new" thing. It's even been on TV a few times, someone on a panel show even said it first started on that April 1st.

Yeah but people that I'm talking to online every five seconds try to link me to a vidya that is relevant to the conversation with misleading link.

For example;

Me:
The Russian forces in South Ossetia have been removed, according to Russian news. Do you think this is true or more propaganda?

Person:
Personally, I would believe it's true. Russian government has no need to lie about such a thing, unless to make them look like the good guys. Fox did a newscast about it a couple days ago.
