I generally agree with Jay ("generally", because who is xenophobic is a question) but I don't agree about Deus Ex, because in DXMP most mp servers were international and usually you couldn't determine where was it hosted without asking other people or even an admin him/herself.

Spamming is always bad, indeed. But I've found many Russians in DXMP by adding .rus to my name. Until 1-2 years ago finding a Russian in DXMP had been something out of line, and it was beneficial for both of us because I could teach them something (as they usually don't speak English to communicate with others), and unite the Russian DXMP community together.

But all that stuff shouldn't be obtrusive. I'm annoyed when people speak only their language on public servers where the rest of players communicate using English.

Anyway discrimination is everywere in some brazilian servers some bad admins kick or ban all the ''gringos'' (americanos,americans ) too, BUT if you enter in a good server, like 'Bala server' (bullet server), +N+ server and etc.. in america's army game (just a example, there are hundreds of good brazilians or international servers in any game) you can fell free to speak english.
