All the Apples functions that do nothing usefull work 100%.
While only half of Microsoft functions that actually do something good work at all.
J/k.
In seriousness, everything Apple does is for comfort of the user (and user can't fuck up anything because he's not allowed to touch any of the inner workings). Apply things look shiny.
Majority of opensource commonities like Linux developers do is to give user maximum controll, letting them customise every aspect of functionality and inner workings. They give power, but only to those who have a good idea what they're doing.
Microsoft stays middle ground between functionality and ease of use. Windows can do much more than Apple's Macintosh or OS-X (and Iphone is an OS-X (sort of like a mac)), while being understandable by all users, not just "people who know what they're doing" of Unix/Linux systems.
I use Iphone because it's a phone that has a browser and wi-fi, and with some hacking I play pc version of Quake on it (not 2d scroller, an FPS

). Well mostly cause it's handy for porn and wikipedia. Oh and Ipod feature helps alot.
I use Windows because I'm a gamer, but also because I'm not a computer illiterate person who can't figure out what "file cannot be read" means. I'm not a professional system admin though, so I don't use Linux. I simply can't figure out what I'm supposed to do there.
Apple wins where the only thing to worry about is user comfort. Microsoft makes not-so-pretty but functional things other people care to work on.
Am I right?
