Autocomplete / saved forms

Postby clyzm » Tue Apr 28, 09 2:34 am

Don't you guys hate it when you're trying to search for something, and the form pulls up similar results that other people have typed in? Such as on YouTube or Google or similar?

For example, today I was searching for GI Irradiance and the second saved form was "gi joe rape" :|

It makes me cringe that people search these things.

I like it for things I've searched before or things I've typed before for search forms and other forms. But I don't need to know what the hell other people search for, it just pisses me off.

If you're talking about "Suggested" forms like they use in Google, I don't mind that at all.

But if you're referring to things such as predictive text on a mobile phone....

Im not really bothered by it although sometimes there's some weird shit in there... but yeah, I usually just type in what I'm looking in for without bothering looking at the autocomplete stuff.

I think it's useful. Some times I try to remember a topic and I type the first word in, then the rest comes up.
