Always your favourite piece of music to get destroyed by the player :/

This rant is on music being, "eaten" if one still uses cassettes or CDs scratched on rare occasions by the players.

First off, it was 4 days ago i was listening to my culture beat single. Eaten cassettes for me were a thing of the past... until this stopped suddenly. Opened the door and found the tape all reeled inside wrapped tightly agesnt the capstan and pinch roller. upon removing found it had all crinkled. and it had snapped. Spiliced it together, but useless so i replaced it with one off ebay. The player didnt eat another one. Last night, listening to another favourite tape on my fairmate boombox. The batteries were weakish, and i fell asleep with earphones on. Began having an oddish dream that it would get eaten, and woke up to find the music stopping. opened the door to find the tape had come out and wound up above where the pinch roller is. this one however was easily removed and only left one tiny dropout. This was cured with an iron and glass. Bearing in mind this was a chrome prerecorded cassette. Had a CD get scratched by the player last week. My favourite CD single.

Annoying or what? Always your favourite to end in trouble at some point.
Yet all the crap ones, never seem to get eaten. I use tapes for the analog music, and alot of vynl aswell.

I did think eaten tapes, were the past for me. Up until last week.
Not had one eaten for years, since i keep my machines clean.

But annoying. pisses me off lol.

Seconded.

I thought I was one of only a few people who used analogue media still.
*surprised*

I can't stand analogue media types now but I'd love to have the tape/vinyl forms of some of my music for prosperity.
