Sustained my second (?) major alcohol related injury of 2009 on Friday night by breaking my hand, after smashing up my face and losing half a front tooth a few months back. It also happened to be my right hand, fate is indeed a cruel mistress.

I've tried it on occasion and probably would have taken it up as an activity if I found it worthwhile.

Sucks doesn't it

Like when I smashed up my face a couple of years ago, cost about 1000 quid of dental surgery to repair and cap my two front teeth

It's not a surprise that people at our Uni at least drink more beer than anything else.

It's cheaper for example with a meal to get a Burger and Pint than a Burger And Coke, a LOT cheaper.

That first pint is the hook.

For most students, one pint => 8 pints

It does indeed. Ouch, unlucky. I claimed on my dental insurance, I think it was about £115, and the procedure took about 2 minutes. Unfortunately, I woke up last Saturday morning to find the cap had disappeared.

That first pint is the hook.

Ain't that the truth

Just really properly seen this now :o

Depends for me whats on, I could go weeks without drinking over training. I don't really crave it or miss it, I go out alot and don't drink. Then when I do go out and drink. I probably go really heavy for 2 or 3 straight days(Keith LOL whiskey madness ;)) or in the case of a holiday we go the full 7/14 days(close to death by the end of it though if I'm honest).

God bless student nights though 5 euro in 2/3 euro a drink.

Went and got myself a cast for my hand at the local hospital earlier

Last Saturday was the first one I've had in months without drinking so I had Friday and Sunday to make up for it.

Not in any pain with it, but it makes me look like someone out of The Hills Have Eyes. Gonna give the dentists a ring on the 'morrow and get it sorted again.

Get a gold tooth with your initials engraved on it.

I had the chance to get two golds caps on my front teeth.

Wouldn't have cost anything extra either.

I wonder why I didn't...
