Parents being gay

My mom and dad blame everything that goes wrong on DX. School Marks, trouble at school, tired in the morning etc. Also they password locked the computer (I figured out the password soon after) so everytime I want to go on I have to go and ask. Then when i'm mapping on Unreal Ed, my dad walks in and says 'playing video games again' then starts bitching about doing something constructive, which makes no sense what-so-ever, because I am pretty sure it is constructive, am I right?

I think your parents are doing a stupid thing. In most cases forbidding something does not work the way they want, instead they're making a "forbidden fruit" out of it. They expect you to concentrate more on school activities, but most likely they don't take in consideration that your concentration would be negatively motivated. Perhaps, it will make you spend more time on school, but as well it will raise your hate towards it. Obviously when you don't like what you do, you're much less likely to succeed in it. You focus on quantity and do things for appearances' sake rather than master quality. At the same time, you'll get more and more obsessed with things you personally desire to do.

At least, this is how it was for me. This isn't a good situation.

My mother sometimes forbid me to use the computer when I still was in school. I still praise her for that.

Icepick... I feel your pain. Sure when I was in school my parents weren't that HXC about it. However, I kind of taught myself to balance DX with school after once receiving a mere 10 minutes of sleep, then crashing on a keyboard in my tech class in which it was stuck on a consistent stickykeys loop, and made noises the WHOLLLEEE class. The BEST part, was that nobody woke me up for an hour (not even my teacher).

It's not a good thing for computer use.

I can understand videogames, internet and television but putting a parental time on the computer in general is obscene. It doesn't make you develop will power at all and having 1-3 hours a day on weekdays was terrible especially when my brother had tantrums over it and I was trying to do homework. It's much more worthwhile to teach a child willpower and prioritisation with education, entertainment and social rather than to force it (you are a bad parent/child is a little cunt)
