Antenna.

I really want to purchase an iphone 4, but am currently turned away from the autistic antenna design. However, everything else on the phone is great. My other iphone 3G is broxed and I'm using a shit blackberry pearl which can't process EDGE if it's life depended on it.

I'm tempted to go ahead and buy the iphone 4 regardless of this inconvenient antenna location. On the other hand, if I wait until the end of September, this issue will be fixed, and I will no longer be dependent on an iphone condom.

note: no such thing as 4g in Canada, so do not mention android.

iPhone is great except total lack of any file management and overly strict appstore policies (same applies to iPad). I think Apple's gonna fix the antennae issues in the next batches by the end of autumn / winter.

I don't see why people are bitching extra hard on iPhone 4. This is the most functional the iPhone has ever been! It's actually a COMPETITIVE PHONE NOW, rather than a plastic iPod.

Yes, it lacks some data management, however, I would say iOS4 is the smoothest phone OS/Firmware out there.

I've (personally) heard people making some complaint about every single phone out there except iphone 4 and some HTC models. RIM's turning to scheit. Even my local news stations were complaining about old OS and hardware compared to newer phones.

I've asked people why they won't switch from their blackberry, and the response is usually, "I'm used to it and I like BBM". Imo, BBM is lame, and is not a valid reason whatsoever to hang on to a phone..

My telus carrier told me the antenna problem would be fixed closer to the end up september. I'm glad I didn't impulse buy on this one.

I can well see Google replacing Apple products in a long future.

Apple took a bad time to make a cock up with the iPhone4, just when android and HTC are becoming more prevalent. As soon as other phones start looking as nice (which is already starting to happen) as the iPhone, i think it will lose a fair bit of its market share. Especially with the speed of android apps growth!

Are Android apps still mostly free? Almost all of iPad/Phone/Pod's apps are all novelty and almost useless (paying for pdf readers HE HE HE) when Android has a god damn utorrent app.
