FUCK THIS SHIT.
So I've purchased a domain name today under www.triiogy.info

Little did I know how god awful godaddy is. Hundreds of cluttered pages full of useless options, and "AVAILABLE SOON" features which are pointless to include if YOU CANT FUCKING USE THEM.

Needless to say, I booted up FZ, and am still trying to figure everything out.

Does anyone know any reasonable domain site? (That doesn't completely suck)

Have you guys ever had a run in to this type of situation before?

UPDATE: I am damn impressed with 000webhost's packages.

Godaddy is a definition of "shit service". Once they blocked my domain (as if I did not pay) one and half weeks before the expiration date, and forced me to pay a fee to unblock it on top of the renewal fee. The support chose not to reply to my ticket at all.

Of course they did not get that fee from me, because it was cheaper to move the domain using the top level registrar (such as nominet for co.uk) to another registrar.

So now I use Gandi.net.

Their site is not really intuitive either (much better than GoDaddy's though). Also they sometimes send letters in French with English below despite I'm registered as an English user, but to be honest I find it cute :lol:

But support is always helpful and reasonably fast. Several payment methods available and unlike GoDaddy they don't subscribe you for anything.

Thanks a lot Dae.. Good to know I wasn't the only one in the Godaddy failboat.

Thank god I only payed $2 for the domain name. I'm checking out Gandi right now, and it looks pretty promising. LOVE their slogan.

I've never had any bad experiences with Godaddy... well, I find it annoying that it warns me 4-5 months ahead of expiration date that my domain will expire and needs to be renewed.

Plus, I always have some discount coupons with Godaddy, making it all a hell lot cheaper..

GoDaddy is pretty much known for having unreliable service. You should see their commercials though ha

Never needed their 'service'... I just pay for the domainname, configure my own nameservers and I'm done.

They could have at least hired someone good to design their site.

You know... being that they are a REGISTRAR and all.

I just rate my overall experience with them 1/5.

I would rather not receive coupons and have a reliable provider than a a lot of coupons and a shit provider.

I can't wait to get my music life up and going!

It has a cheese template up at the moment, but I can't wait to edit it once i have time!
