I don't know about you but I don't understand some pirate/hacker/cracker/illegalactiviteer groups that announce their actions on a project step by step.

Surely this is nothing but a bragging contest and only hinders them in the long run?, instead of releasing the finished product then sending the buzz they potentially find exploits behind something and THIS GUY AT WEBSITE/IRC CHANNEL has found a way to exploit blah blah and they've made so and so much progress and far from release. Seriously can someone tell me the point in this other than to get e-cred over other groups and announce themselves as a trusted/established syndicate?
