The Supreme Court, in an 8-1 decision in a Kentucky case, says police officers who loudly knock on a door in search of illegal drugs and then hear sounds suggesting evidence is being destroyed may break down the door and enter without a search warrant.

That's just ridiculous.

They're allowed to do this?

Illinois passed a bill that allows police to search vehicles and transportation based on whims.

Funny story about that: a couple friends and I were smoking in the parking lot of a strip mall. A silver PT Cruiser parks next to us, young gentleman walks out and converses with us for a little bit. All of a sudden 6 squad cars show up, block the car, search the PT cruiser. We were just bystanders when the police decided to search our car too. Found a personal vaporizer in my friend's pocket and we had to bail him out of jail for the night.

Police are so corrupt here it's not even funny. They found nothing my friend's car, but they didn't even apologize for wrongly searching and they were swearing at us the whole time.

Holy shit... Serious eh?

Police here need a search warrant for the car, and a special warrant for the glove box.

-to try and get a warrant for a house needs a collection of fluid evidence, so it never happens unless there is proof that you're a part of a serious crime.

Smoking marijuana isn't even a deal with the City/Region Police, even the O.P.P., or half the RCMP. They usually just slowly follow you because they know it's tripping you out. They just enjoy trolling, because they don't want to fill out absurd amounts of paperwork for something so stupid.

The other half of the RCMP are only dicks though who fire there taser at everything that moves.
