I was never a fan of this show, it just screams money maker at everyone, it's a shoe in every year for Christmas number one unless the public step in like in 2009 , but this just really angers me, read this article.
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/legal-action-x ... 49600.html
Stealing a charities name? That's just low imo and disgusting.
I've joined a campaign on Facebook to dislodge X Factor from getting the Number 1 at Christmas again this year, it mite not mean a lot but it's just nice to know that people power can win over , as the 2009 Christmas number one puts it "The machine".
And for the record, i'm not honestly fussed most of the time who wins number 1, it's just at Christmas it's kinda sickening to see the X Factor always get it when a fair number of times the song is poor and could easily have been bettered by another song.

Awful show. Maybe this year they won't choose a song that Cowell makes money from.
An X Factor spokeswoman said: "The charity in question have trademarked the name 'Rhythmix' for educational purposes only, which is not in conflict with the band or the show."
Probs won't see much happen then.

I've got a feeling X Factor UK is going to implode, what do these celebrities in their 20s and 30s know about the music industry and talent? Half of them are all emotionally softies now that accept anything.
The amount of money it generates concerns me aswell, it is essentially watching karoke!!!

This is exactly it.
What I DO like about xfactor, is that they will take any form of talent, and won't force them to do other genre's of music.
What was shit about american idol was...
"OKAY EVEN THOUGH YOU'RE CLEARLY A ROCK ARTIST, WE'RE DOING JAZZ NEXT WEEK AND UR GETTING VOTED OFF CUZ U SUK AT JAZZ"

I considered going on next year and just death growl everything I want to sing. Just to see if I get on Xtra Factor as one of their worst auditions.

So apparantly the charity won the legal case over its name, but now the campaign has changed to get Nirvana to number 1 to pay for the legal fee's they obtained over this, and to topple the X Factor dominance.

I don't watch it but I'm aware of this Frankie wanker and the fact he got kicked out. Some hilarious jokes out of it like Frankie Cokeuphisnozza and Talk to Frank.

The band havn't legally changed their name apparantly, their hoping the charity will.run out of money in legal battles and they will be able to.keep the name
