Do you use Reddit?

I really can't understand this website's popularity. If it wasn't for the sub-reddit feature I would find it an absolute website of trash. The interface is horrible, karma whoring and if you don't agree with the general opinion you get super downvoted. I have never ever witnessed such a cesspool in my life and there's only a few boards I actually like.

reddit is garbage m7, I don't like it either.

Used mtred bitcoin mining site, reddit runs it or something. Inadvertently ended up on reddit once.... fucking waste of time.

The only time I ever visit Reddit is when Google pops up with appropriate content on Reddit. I've found some helpful tips for some games on it, but I'd never devote any real time to the shite.

As you said: The user interface is just plain horrible and, like all these board-type things, you get down-rated to oblivion as soon as you post an opinion someone doesn't like.

That's the biggest issue I have with sites like Reddit (and any blog who also uses the whole "voting" system). We're told there are no "right or wrong" opinions, yet people who usually have some of the more intelligent responses get the intellectual bashing off a lifetime.

I still think this boils down to the issue of the internet and anonymity. I've never actually met anyone who, when they've not agreed with me, has then proceeded to verbally abuse me because I simply don't agree with them.
