Eeyup DJ, that's me.
Come on clyzm.
You know that Rule 34 exists within every single fandom. Wherever there's a fandom of something, there's sure to be porn of it. It isn't a surprise to hear that there's that sort of stuff here too. You can just ignore it.
This fourth generation of MLP, Frienship is Magic, differs completely from the previous ones. Those ones hadn't really else than ponies running around and the shows had simply nothing worth watching. Maybe it cheered up some little kids. =|
And you don't have to consider MLP: FIM a "pony show". "Hehee, you like little, colorful ponies!"
The ponies are just a base for something that involves lessons about life and encourages you to be positive. Think of it like this:
Horses or ponies and many other animals seem to us as peaceful creatures that don't need evil in their world. They don't demand much. They are pleased with what they have.
And their world in MLP, Equestria, is mostly a calm world where everypony and other creatures can live in harmony. But from time to time evils, chaos and other disharmonic stuff appear. And every time the good ones succeed in making it good again.
And this is exactly what we humans want, isn't it. We dream of an Earth where evil and inequality exists no more.
We'd like to be friends with one another. That there'd be no war.
And eventually, it's a fun show! You watch 5 minutes of it and think "Nah, this is kids' stuff." That's really not the way it goes.
The characters in the show all have a very deep personality. They aren't as blank as characters in many unoriginal kids or anime shows. It's great that you can identify yourself in the characters. And the voice acting and all the other properties pretty much just make it all _impeccable_.
And again, it's NOT limited to the show.if you'd see what the community creates. It's amazing. I have found tons of music and it's quality definitely surpasses that of the mainstream music that's being played nowadays. These people are true artists. I'm waiting to hear Makkon06's soundtracks in some game or film in the future.
You'll have MUCH better time when you find the artists after you've been following the series.
What's awesome about the people is that we create lots of cons and actually meet each other in person and have a great time! When you've known nice members of thw community on the Net for long and finally get to talk to them face to face - that's the real deal. You can create life-long friendships with some incredible people.
The most famous of these conferences is BroNYcon, that's kept once a year. It's huge. There are cons in tens of countries where gus and girls of the same country can a meetup.
And if you'd see how much good our community has done! We assist in several charity projects more than you'd imagine. Many artists even send their own album/other art's earnings to charity.
And you'd wonder how many depressed people the show and fandom have helped! I have a friend as an example. Before he found it he was highly depressed but after...yeehaa!
Please reconsider your harsh opinions
