Brazilian riots

Postby DxPlayer » Mon Jun 24, 13 2:39 pm

The beautiful game is up. When Brazil is conditioned to hate the World Cup and its people traduce Pele as a traitor, football has lost its relevance and its reason. International sport may never be the same again.

Yeah, I've been keeping up with the news on this:

I think that (as long as it is for a just cause) protesting/rioting is very very important for necessary change. Not all governments easily change in favor of citizens.

Yes, riots are taking place in many cities (including Recife), violently or not, and also on the Internet, taking down governmental websites or modifying the main pages.

Indeed the president Dilma has now proposed a plebiscite about executing a political reform. A set of promises has been made by the president, including new and huge investments on education, public transportation and even making the practice of corruption a heinous crime.

Today in my city there is a huge protest planned just like the one which happened on Saturday. This time rioting citizens plan to block some important avenues which give access to the Stadium where some of the Confederation Cup games are happening.

The rioting are being planned on social networks and almost all middle class young has access to it.

The national army has been requested by the governor of our state (province) to take part today repressing the rioting mass.
