You are talking to a guy that was an avid soccer player as a kid. So no, theory is not correct.
(Mind you, we were tough, we played on limestone, not sissy grass.)
2) wtf is a shot clock? even though i dont know what 1 is i dont want 1 adding. its the greatest sport in the world, why change it?
If by "greatest" you mean sluggish, boring, un-eventful, and generally a waste of 90 minutes, then yeah, why change it...
3) a video ref will only slow down the fast, fluent pace the game is played at (unless ur in Italy). plus, it adds to the drama, the debate and the excitement of football. a video ref would take the drama and talking points out of the game.
Watch Rugby, phool. The Video ref is there for iffy calls, when a ref is not 100% sure, he goes to the video ref. Personally, I find lilly livered fairies rolling around on the ground crying for a free kick or foul to hamper the game more then a video ref ever could. And if the video ref isn't going to be, make sure all ref's are trained well.
Although seriously, you must agree that the world cup is the pincle of Soccer... yet why is it so fscking boring? ><
I stayed up till 3am to watch Australia get beaten by Brazil, I found my self flicking from channel to channel just trying to liven things up... I mean, 2 goals in 90 minutes? Please... that's not fast, thats slow as all hell. 167points in 80 minutes, now THAT is fast and frantic.
