Stupid incredibly painful jaw! I dunno what the fook is wrong with it either. Its all swollen and owchy and painkillers don't work very well and its been 5 days and I have to PAY to see a dentist tomorrow. Rob reckons its my wisdom teeth coming through? (noooo?!) But when I visited my Mum yesterday she reckons its an absess in my cheek? (eeewww!?!)

Oh well. Alcohol is the best medicine.

And here is a happy pic of meeeee from 5 mins ago to prove my owchiness

Depends where the pain is I suppose. :-k

If you don't feel a lump or anything like that in your cheek/jaw, it's not an absess.

Of course... if it is wisdom teeth... Owwie... :(

Well my left cheek feels REALLY lumpy and swollen and veiny, and my gland does too (I originally thought it was mumps, being prone to EVERYTHING). Its my cheek that hurts more than my actual gum in my mouth, and I really want it sorting but I'm petrified the dentist will use needles in my face! >: (

I refuse to have anaesthetic through needle form, last time when I had my first and only filling I refused needles, and when I had my 3 baby teeth removed when I was younger I didn't have needles either. But I dunno what sorta procedure takes place with owchy cheeks!?!

Edit: And what actually are wisdom teeth for!?!

They serve no purpose. They grow into your mouth, so unless you want a shitload of pain for the rest of your life, go to the dentist and get em removed.

Well thats stupid! Its soooo annoying coz I hate the dentists and I try so hard to look after my teeth (well until I started smoking occasionally). I didn't even know we still grew teeth after our second set until Rob told me rofl

It could be an allergic reaction... not been stung by any bee's lately have yee?

What are the symptoms of mumps?

Mumps usually begins with two days of discomfort and an increasing temperature. This is followed by an uncomfortable feeling in the jawbone and a swelling of the parotid glands. Often the swelling occurs unevenly, on one side of the face before the other. It is only possible to get mumps in one of the glands. The body temperature may rise to 40oC and the swelling can feel oppressive and sore. The earlobes stick out and the child's face eventually looks very swollen. The child experiences pain when opening their mouth. In mild cases the swelling may only last three to four days, but it can go on for a week or more.

Eep!! : (

I considered that it might be an allergic reaction. I'm not allergic to bees or wasps (been stung by both before and been fine apart from the standard owchiness), but I am allergic to orange juice and I've drank a lot recently (makes my mouth and tongue swell LOL). I'm pretty sure its not that though. Oh well... Dentist will hopefully find summat out tomorrow morning.

I had the mumps about two months ago.

If it is the mumps, I feel for you.

Hot and cold flushes are murder.

Ok well I went to the dentists this morning and its my wisdom teef coming through, apparently if it gets any worse I have to have them removed (eep), but my dentist is such a fucking wanker, seriously, he refuses to make eye-contact with me since I yelled abuse at him for tryin to stick needles in my face like 2 years ago. I caught a glance of my dentist file too, and in giant capital letters written on the front in marker pen is:

"******WARNING - EXTREME NEEDLE PHOBIC PATIENT******"

Rofl

Oh, and I have to pay £42.fookin 40p as well for that shite
