Parents and their cons

Postby MrBlackDX » Thu Jul 27, 06 7:46 pm

Ok

At this exact moment, I am trying to think of a way to dispose of my dinner, without raising the "you know there are starving kids in Africa" lecture.

My dinner comprises of;

Lamb Shish Kebabs, from a frozen packet, a sausage like clump of the worst bits of lamb meat, with no resemblence to the mmmm taste of a proper Doner

Cabbage, covered in garlic and herb salad dressing. I really dont like cabbage a lot, mixed in with other veg, when it makes up say 5% of the mix, I can deal with it.

Pitta bread, i love pitta bread, but when you filled ur bread with the disgusting salad and kebabs, its now tarnished, however ive scraped off the slime and vowed that this piece of bread will be my dinner tonight.

Ok so, you know when you were a kid? You got like breaded cod with boiled potatoes and garden peas. Yeah that shit was good. Hell you get a bit older, they start serving up the curries and chinese.

But when you get to my age, they start breaking out the worst food in existence. Something, isnt right here.

[/Rant]

Any other parental griefs?

I wish mine was... All it is with him is "Ready meal this... Fry-up that... Chicken Nuggets the other..." Makes me want to hit him over the head with a saucepan.

Anyway... Ever had the case where you lend your parents a sum of money, and they're always stringing me along all the time saying sh1t like "I don't have the money..." or "Wait until *family member close to death* dies, you'll get the biggest cut of the inheritance!" Oooh... *Me cocks shotgun at parents*

I can whip up one mean stir-fry and a curry. We usually have beef or stuff but we have pasta, spaghetti, rainbow trout, haddock, cod, sardines you name it. Plenty of veg too and I know it doesn't sound right for a 13 year old saying this but I love veg.

You like corn on the cob? I love every veggie! It goes great with my stir-fry.

I aspire to be like him in the kitchen.

I consider myself a decent cook for a 16 year old.

MacDonalds once a week\two weeks is fine, but otherwise, It begins to lose its novelty.

I used to spend every penny on macdonalds, now I just buy shiz from iceland and grill it in my back garden. =/

No fair, I had to show my Dad how to make fish fingers the other day.

Everyone in this household fends for themselves with my Mum being in hospital for the past God knows how long. No one ever eats together. We have a huge Spanish imported hand crafted dining room table which hasn't been used in months haha

"Eat your greens, you'll grow healthy!"

Meat > all.

I didn't fight my way to the top of the food chain to become a vegetarian.
