Ipods and their viruses

Bloodly ipods and their bloodly viruses.
I go to bed last, looking forward to listen to a bit of music and then to my pissyoffness I discover there's no music on it. Every song gone
I never really liked apple.
I pay $150 for a 1gb ipod that can barely hold 500 songs, battery life is rather shitty tbh and the music keeps going. I have been lucky not to have had it in to the factory to get it repaired for the screen or anything yet, but still, ah!
I hear Microsoft are releasing something similar to the ipod and its supposed to be better though

Apple think they are better than Microsoft, when in reality they're lower than Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft.
Smug bastards.

But we all know that apple is nothing compared to the microsoft.
Info on the "Zune."

At least their price is better

By the look of innovative design & technology, it's quite the contrary, making Windows one of the most successful products in the world.
Of course, Linux just dominates all of them >=D.

Creative ftw.
150€ for a 4gb Creative Zen Microphoto. Totally worth it.

And guess what OSX is based on? NeXTSTEP, which in turn was basically Jobs' version of BSD. And BSD and Linux are both sort of variants I guess you could say of Unix. So really, your argument is moot because you contradicted yourself without knowing it.
Steve Jobs didn't get rich selling millions of people buggy products. He got rich by almost singlehandedly popularizing the PC.
Apple ][, anyone?
I doubt that this Zune will ever catch the iPod. Microsoft's only caught up to Apple twice in terms of marketing/popularity: Windows and Internet Explorer. And those were both when the computing scene, as far as the general public was concerned, was fairly young. The iPod's head start is just too big IMO for it to be caught.
On design, I think Apple have Microsoft beaten by a long shot. They just have better GUIs and overall usability.
On technology, I don't recall a single month in recent history in which Microsoft didn't have to issue any security patches. Such an event would surely make the news.
Don't blame me, blame the sales. Windows has more buyers imho.

That has to be
the worse logic I have ever seen.
OSX is a bastardised version of BSD, which is
kinda like Linux (even though there are major fundemental differences), thus calling OSX insecure and Linux/BSD secure is a moot point?
WTF are you smoking?

Apple suck. I can recommend an american make of mp3 player which re-charges via usb, has 18-32 hours battery life, can hold 1500 - 2500 songs, is HDD, and only costs £75.99 from amazon.

My dad owns 60 GB iPod. He likes it very much and I haven't ever heard any complaints about it from him.

When apple first made the ipod they had to recall each version back, because it had a mass of bugs.
P.S. The mp3 player i was talking about was....
The Archos Gmini XS100

The HDD's Apple use seem to have very low shock tolerence.

On my birthday I wanted an MP3 Player, my cd walkmans have always being Sony so I got a Sony Network Walkman (512mb), I can honestly say it beats the crap out of those mass-whored storage, shit quality, overated IPods.

18-32 hours? Slightly unreliable..
Now lets talk about the Creative Zen Touch.. 20 gigs, 24 hour battery life and has a really cool touchy thingy for the menu system (H) and when I got it, about 2 years ago cost less than a iPod mini did.. GG
Its also built to last Ive dropped it countless times, and it still works perfectly.. Officially puddle-proof.

My mp3:
* 6 hours battery
* 500 mb
* some extra tools
* am happy with it
- point : the more i get into bands the more i long for an mp3 with 1000 mb or perhaps 2000 mb

I used to have a Zen Touch, broke after over a year, good player though.
Few months back I bought a new player, MPEYE. Within weeks I was having problems, and now the sound doesnt work properly and not all the songs work. Piece o' shite.

If you look at MAC, and you look at Windoze, you will undersand what I mean. Even certain linux GUIs, as I recently experienced, look so much better than any MS product ive come across so far.
I recived 2gb ipod as a present not long ago and everything about it owned. And when I mean everything I mean: the package was simply marvellous, and the package INSIDE the outer package was marvellous. The way they put it together, the way they added additional pieces, the way they all looked- it was all style man.
Ive no doubt there are better players out there ofc, Id like to check that thing Zanti has one day.
Just wanted to clarify what I ment by saying what I said in my previous post.

Yeah it holds a lot more obviously but thats the only tracks I've added since January. Its memory is a little smaller than my laptop. Just about to add around 20-30 more. I get SERIOUSLY bored of my songs though coz I take my mp3 player everywhere, even have it set to speakers for when I'm in the shower.
