Why is it everytime something bad happens to a person you call them an emo? I have spent a week with an emo and he never cried, wrote in a diary or showed weakness. He was a fun-loving guy and brought fun to the crappy little camp I spent a week at. Do you guys actually know any emos at all? The ones I've seen so far are probably the most popular and happy guys I've met.

A small minority of emos try to slit their wrists, it's just a situation that was sensationalised.

i know a girl who says she is an emo.She is a nice person and doesn't really show she is an emo.I also found it funny to call people emo sometimes , but its being over used a little bit just like on this forum that it starts to annoy me instead of making me laugh.The fucking emo calling crap must decrease.

Most of the emos I've met cry when I insult them for looking like an emo. Doesn't mean I'm a heartless bastard, moreover they shouldn't take the net that seriously.

i call people emos if they get oversensitive about things; they don't even have to wear emo makeup or anything.

IE: Stevie is an emo because hes oversensitive when it comes to suicidal thoughts.

Anyways, i don't take it seriously, it doesn't anger me or anything, it's just a funny term xD.

I really cant insult someone by calling them emo because of experience.
I don't think I should stereotype someone for what they do psyhically or what they are mentally.

Now, explain, if the person that you spent your summer with in bed didn't do anything the "Stereotipical" or the defined emo would do, on what grounds did you base that your partner was an emo? When I say fag for those of the emo-scene it means they dress in clothing that will be more suitiable for casual dress-sense of women (Tight-fit hoodies, drainpipe jeans, silly customised shoes) which to mine and my friend's views they've lost all dignity to even have a right to be called a man, in my eyes they may as well become a woman.

It also stresses me out because women in the emo-scene go for these fags because they're popular... why would anyone go with a person who could die in one poke, shit in bed and going to be weaker than their girlfriend. What happens when those fag's girlfriend gets mugged in front of them or she gets threatened?

Oh and I ain't denying stuff about my sexuality, I'm bisexual. (WAY before this stupid shit broke through)

Some punk called me an emo because I listen ebm, I cant see how the hell that makes me an emo. To be honest this emo-craze seemed to appear from nowhere.

He is 'angry' about people labelling anyone who is having a hard time an emo. But of course, being '2 wise 4 u', you already knew this.

So, If you already knew this, that entire post was simply to make your self feel better, or to raise your post count. Out of those two possibilities;

1. You're into the whole self gratification thing, so just spamming.
2. You're spamming by raising your post count.

By applying some basic logic, we can see that both paths lead to spamming. If you're spamming, you didn't read the forum rules. If you didn't read the rules, you're an idiot. If you did read the rules, you're being an annoying idiot.

Dark Knight, you seem to be quite clever and witty amongst the average DxAlpha poster, so I will not argue. Although I will say, Your claims of me misunderstanding the topic were not all true. Sure, he is angry about labelling people emos, but I was pointing out that this all started, from him labelling his friend an emo.

Is it just me or Cata is lying about making "emos" cry?, tbh if someone called someone an emo here they'd be like "Not emo >: (" "So?" or ignore the person who calls them it, I find it highly unlikely you'd make them cry with a madeup word with one syllable.

I think emo is a myspace thing now more than anything else. The whole blogging and emo-poses on the pics..
But yeah it'll fade along with all other stereotypes eventually.

I think MySpace, IS largely emo, but it appears more emo than it actually is, because the profiles that are private are the ones that aren't emo.
