The question of having brothers and sisters, or only child

Now I know, while some of those who have brothers and sisters will tell those who don't that they are lucky and such and how they are annoying etc. maybe sometimes but even then I have considered them lucky.
I as a only child would love to have a brother or sister, preferrably sister and it is great to have them. Its something I always wanted and when I see those who do have them I consider them luck, because imo they are a blessing not a curse.
You may have your arguments and such, but all in all, it is good to have this extra bit of family. Anyone who is an only child agree? And those who do have brothers and sisters who do you think?
Then comes the getting spoilt factor and tbh honest I don't care really, not that I am rotten spoilt and showered with presents etc just because I am an only child but even it I was, i would prefer a brother or sister.

I only read the first sentence and already disagree with you.I got one brother and are very happy to have one.Although he is tien years older than me we got a good band.

I have a younger brother who's 16 and I'm glad that I've got him because it made childhood more interesting when we were growing up..
Always wanted an older brother, however over time I've made friends with older blokes that feel like brothers to me and look out for me. : )

I wish I had a sibling around my age... my sisters are 5 and 10 years older than me respectively. What I wouldn't give to be buried up to my head in the sand of a beach by an older brother/sister near my age...

Having brother(s)/sister(s) have positive & negative points
I have 2 older sisters, and I'm glad I have them, but trust me, sometimes, they can be annoying as hell.
