Music on comp

Postby Krieg » Wed Oct 11, 06 1:52 pm

+/- 130 albums containing around 8 up untill 14 tracks.Would you say that is to much ? Am I the only music lover that has so many albums on his computer ? Do you think that this amount is to much for a computer ? Does this amount slows the computer speed drastically ?
Hip Hip Houray , my dad thinks so.Last night he used norton antivirus and made it do a full scan of the computer. The scan lasted 8 hours because the computer is full of albums and stuff.Fucking fagot norton antivirus 2007 does also scan music albums :/ , ridiculous , the change that an album downloaded from a site contains trojan viruses or what ever is small. Now this motherfucker wants to trow all my albums of the computer. Is he right with his stupit theory or is he just bullshitting ?I sure wish he burns in hell.

Norton Antivirus takes forever anyways. Its stupidly slow.

And no, you can never have too much music. I know many a person that has several 120gb drives dedicated to mp3s alone.

Well first off, get rid of Norton. Second, learn how to use a scanner properly, you CAN set it to not scan certain folders/only scan certain folders.

Edit, theres 326 albums in my albums folder, 4863 songs & 980 single files not including ones downloaded into other areas, eg msn received files.

Um, my computer uses 4 hdds with 150 gbs each. And now I have 3 gigs of free space in sum. My computer isnt slow at all.
Yes, Norton sucks - use Kaspersky.
In my case full scan takes about 6-7 hours.

I used to use anti virus, McAfee. But I just realised I dont need it. Not just because I run Linux but because my desktop is not on 24/7 and I dont whore up to stuff like SmileyCentral. The only other project I use is spybot-sd if im running Windows.

Go figure

Well , to clarify some , I don't have a computer on my own :(.And my dad bought norton antivirus through internet so I doubt he would trow 60 euro in the trashcan
But thanks for telling that you can set it to not scan certain folders.Hopefully my foolish dad will listen to this.He really is hopeless with computers.Even more hopeless than I am
lmao , his argument why he wants to trow of all my music albums " these albums slow the computer , I am sure of it.Besides , don't try to tell me you listen to all those albums at once." me:" errr... off course I can't listen to all at once " him: " Well than trow a minimum 75% of it off the comp" me:" no fucking way " him: " Oke than I'll trow all those crap albums of the comp"

And a minut ago I told him " dad , you can change the settings so that norton doesn't scan everything " him:"Yeah I believe you can yes ... but I don't know how to do that. And if norton doesn't scan some parts and suddenly those parts are infected the comp might be fucked.I don't want to take that change so I'll leave it all up to norton".

Oh well , if I find out he did trow my albums off the comp I'll smash his head with a hammer in the middle of the night

Hmm a virus eating you music, now that's scary.
When life gives you lemons... Squeeze them into your eyes and run across a busy intersection, faggot.
