I think i would like to try to mimic UT2004's gametype BombingRun. But first i want to know if there is an interest in this.

I'd say DX is a bit too slow in that case, for a game like bombing run to be played properly.

Well theres always the slomo option. Set it to like 1.2 or .3.

As for the size etc of the mod, it would only be summoned items, not an actual map unless someone wants to make a map for it. All it would be is a new gametype, where kills don't define the win but the scores, a modified gun to act like 2004's, and the "goals" as well as maybe a summoner so that the admin don't need to constantly summon the damn stuff.

I'd avoid slomo if I were you, the weapons are already deadly at the current speed, with slomo 3 they would kill 3 times as fast.

You could change the groundspeed however, so the weapons aren't effected.

OMG i would never have ppl fighting at slomo 3. i meant 1.3, but yes you do have a point. groundspeed would be better to edit.

Any ideas guys? I don't wanna start this then have no one use it. Ive only had like 3 dls on my portals, even tho i worked my a$$ off on that project.

Hmm i see yur point. Well, Im looking into what i can workout reguarding trying to make the gametype as similar as the original but the main thing is that UT2004 isn't DX. same engine, really bad converting tho. I'll see what i can hax out.

"bad converting"? I made 3 gametype's that were in other game's. I didn't even look at the source code of the gametype's, but I just tried making them. Don't port the games. You will probably fail, because UT04 uses different functions. Make them from scratch.

Unfortunately, i Don't know as much as yur very self, and i can't just spin out gametypes with only a thought. Its taken me almost 6-7 mojnths to come as far as i have with very little support, and i don't think the support will get increased by the looks of things. :evil: This is one beef i have with the community at large. the only 2 people who have taken time to actually help me out in a useful manner have been Nobody and Jim. All other pleas for help have been shot down by arrogent bigwigs, or just ignored. [/anger]
