Deus Ex Editing PACK version 1.8 [RELEASE]

Deus Ex Editing PACK Version 1.8 : release

I'd like to say that new version of Deus Ex Editing PACK is ready to download and use :)

This version includes:
  • UnrealEd1 (the official level editor)
  • UnrealEd2 (with my latest fixes, and you can view models!)
  • ConEdit
  • UCSDK : a GUI for ucc.exe. Requires .NET framework 2.0 and higher
  • DeusEx Extractor (latest version) plus DeusEx mesh converter plus DeusEx3DViewer plus DeusExExtractor GUI. Requires .NET framework 2.0 or higher
  • DXMeshTool
  • WotGreal exporter
  • LWO viewer
  • Mapper's Dream

Download (version 1.8 ) (25 mbytes)

The installation program mentiones about welcome center, but was in not included in this version.

The installation program creates some file associations, so you're can view .3D models by double clicking in the Explorer, etc.
Consider this release as initial. If you'll have some problems with the PACK, post here, and i'll try to solve them.
Next release will include more tools and some patches!

IMPORTANT: By default, installer uses C:\DeusEx\ path. Specify path where your copy of DeusEx located is.

Can you put this in winrar format? for whatever reason, I can't extract it. I just get this error.

It'd be beneficial to provide the error you get.. Additionally, if you can't unzip zip archives then there's an issue.

The error I get is the one that winrar gives when a file doesn't download fully. Anybody who has winrar probably knows what error I'm talking about.

I wouldn't download it...... It fucked my whole dx system up. I can't access my maps, SDK, TNM, all of it fails now.

What path did you used? I've just installed fresh DeusEx GOTY, this pack and everything works fine.

I used the same path that deus ex used. I'll try again, It could have been a bug. For whatever reason the SDK programs won't open, those I need the most. It says "Can't find EditPackages 'DeusEx'

And.. why the hell would it say "Can't find EditPackages 'DeusEx'"

It would be something liek ""Can't find Package 'DeusEx'"

But, anyway, paste your INI, in most cases, you don't really have DeusEx.u in your system folder... check check

Sorry for inconvenience, i've found the problem. As i understand, the only program that does now works in UnrealEd2 ? Did you're tried other programs? There is a program group in the START menu, called Deus Ex Editing PACK...

Copy files from the archive into UED2 folder (replacing the old files, this is important!), and after this it should run and work well.

I preparing new version of the PACK, it will include more tools, like TexAlign, couple of programs to view brushes (T3D) and more...

i forgot to say: this version includes titan.utx package, which is required by some maps/mods.

Thanks, everything is working as it should. I notice in the UED 2 you have added several new buttons, I know beyond a doubt the tunnel one will be very useful.

I'm curious, does this program require the UnrealEditor1112fmFix in order to work? I just want to make sure I have everything before attempting to run this program.

It is nice but when I tried to use the Unreal Editor 2 it crashed cuz it couldn't find DeusExConversations and DeusEx. I installed everything into C:\DeusEx\.

PS: I unnistalled Deus Ex Editing pack and now my SDK doesn't open anymore D: it also says my Deus Ex is now 1.009 when I try to reinstall the SDK. DeusEx.exe does not open anymore cuz Windows.dll is missing O_O.

PS 2: I reinstalled Deus Ex Editing pack and SDK + DeusEx seems to be working fine, but UE2 is still missing files.
