Not sure if anyone already mentioned this - I didn't read all the messages.
For SoldOut editions you need this "patch":
http://download.dxalpha.com/DX1/patches ... atched.rar
Simply replace existing DeusEx.exe from DeusEx/System folder with the new one from the link above.
CDPath=... randomly works with SoldOuts...

oh yeh forgot to mention the 
i got the archive instaler so i didnt have to lol sorry, And editing the cd pach didnt work on my soldout version i had to download somethign for it.
